Despite Sleet & Snow - NASCAR Racing is Almost Upon Us Starting at Daytona International Speedway
Wow, it seems we were just watching the tail end of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Now, despite snow and sleet falling from the Deep South to the Northeast, the 2011 NASCAR racing season will quickly be upon us. A newly resurfaced Daytona International Speedway, which drivers describe as smoother with more grip, and a 10 foot wider pit road, bode well for fans and drivers alike in the upcoming 2011 season that will start for fans in less than two weeks. January 20th through 22nd - fans can see their favorite drivers at Daytona and enjoy all sorts of racing activities.
Budweiser Shootout
February 12th - Daytona International Speedway hosts the All-Star race featuring NASCAR Sprint Cup Series’ stars.
Gatorade Duel
February 17th - Daytona features two 150-mile qualifying races to determine the starting lineup for the Daytona 500.
DRIVE4COPD 300
February 19th - NASCAR and Daytona International Speedway will match NASCAR Nationwide Series drivers against NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers in a 120-lap, 300-mile event.
Daytona 500
February 20th – Daytona International Speedway will host the 53rd Daytona 500, “The Great American Race,” where NASCAR’s best Sprint Cup drivers will compete in one of the biggest, richest and most prestigious events in NASCAR.
