LPGA tournament play returned to the United States today
with completion of the first round of the JTBC Founders Cup in Phoenix,
Arizona. Play will continue through the
weekend from the Wildfire Golf Club at JW Marriott’s Phoenix Desert Ridge
Resort and Spa. Golfers are competing
for a purse of 1.5 million dollars.
At the end of Round One, Stacy Lewis, winner of the JTBC Founders Cup in 2013, is in first having shot 64. Hyo Joo Kim sits one stroke back. Paula Creamer (pictured above) sits tied for 25th at 3 under
par having shot a 69. Last year’s
winner, Karrie Webb, sits tied at 8th having shot a 67.
