MotoGP Repsol Honda Rookie Marc Marquez Wins Fourth Straight - Sets Record with Five Rookie Wins

Marc Marquez makes MotoGP history with fifth season victory.  A first for a rookie.  Sunday's Czech Grand Prix victory also gives Marquez four straight top podium finishes coming off of last week’s win at Indy and the previous weeks’ wins at Laguna Seca, California and Sachsenring, Germany.
Not a bad summer for Marquez (the only victor for MotoGP in July and August) as he currently sits 26 points ahead of his Repsol Honda teammate Dani Pedrosa.  Yamaha Factory Racing Jorge Lorenzo trails Marquez by 44 points in the World Championship Classification.  Today’s margin of victory at Brno was a little closer (than the overall points’ race) as Marquez edged out Pedrosa by only 31/100ths of a second.  Lorenzo finished third a little over 2 and ¼ seconds off the pace.
Up next for the riders on September 1st at Silverstone, England (finishing out a tight schedule of three races in three weeks) comes the Hertz British Grand Prix.  Riders, teams, and fans can look forward to a few less clouds next week as the weatherman calls for clear skies and race day temperatures from 14C-22C (58F-72F).
